There's still a lot we don't know about the coronavirus outbreak. And as the virus is flipping our lives upside down, many of us are working from home, social-distancing, and curbing certain aspects of our lives. For many, this can either mean more time being alone, or more time spent with members of our households. Although remaining inside is the best way to protect yourself and others from sickness, it can lead to boredom. We're sharing our suggestions of how to keep yourselves entertained while being stuck indoors.

    • Dust off your bookshelf and finally get to that book you've been saying you want to read.
    • Write in a journal. Or start a blog!
    • Watch movies you haven't had the time to catch up on!
    • Do an at home workout! There are many free Youtube channels that offer fun equipment-free at home workout videos. POPSUGAR Fitness is one of my favorites.
    • Treat yourself to an at-home spa treatment... mask away!
    • Bake or cook a meal you wouldn't otherwise have the time to make. Our ideas: fresh pasta, slow cook some vegan chili, or bake some white chocolate blondies.
    • Declutter your closet, kitchen, or any other area of the home that has been neglected. Marie Kondo would approve.
    • Have a family game night. Whether its Monopoly or Cards Against Humanity... we wont judge :)
    • Call a family member that you haven't spoken to in a while.
    • Declutter your laptop or phone. We all know that one person that has 4,000 photos on their phone...
    • Buy online or purchase gift cards from your favorite local businesses. This unprecedented time is especially hard for them.
    • Have you done your taxes yet?

For parents and caretakers of children:

The pandemic has lead to many school systems closing down, forcing students to stay home.

This article from CNET has many resources for free or discounted E-Learning sites for parents who want to keep children engaged.

Do what you can to help others in need.

It's easy to feel isolated and helpless in the face of the coronavirus crisis.

But there are still ways you can help in a time of need. IndyStar has put together a few ways you could make a difference: here.

We owe a debt of gratitude to our Kindred family that is supporting us through this strange time, healthcare providers, and everyone who has been on the frontlines.
