What is CBD?
Cannabidiol (CBD) is a naturally occurring compound found in Cannabis plants. The plants produce it as a defense against pests, pathogens, molds, extreme weather and intense UV rays, aka STRESS!
CBD can be derived from Hemp and Marijuana plants- both of which are in the Cannabis plant family. All of our products are derived from organic Hemp, which means they contain less than 0.3% THC so they will not make you high. It is not a mind altering.
CBD interacts with the body in a way that’s been shown to regulate relaxation, pain relief, sound sleep, mood, the immune system, memory, and other important functions like STRESS response! Cool, huh?
How can I use DRAM Drops?
The drops can be mixed with food, juice, sparkling water, tea, smoothies or food! They may also be taken sublingually (directly under the tongue) for more immediate relief.
For the “low dose” glycerin based products (Sweetgrass, Lemongrass) the CBD milligram dosage is measured by the dropperful with a dropperful being the total amount sucked up by the glass dropper. This will usually be a little less than half.
For the “high dose” MCT oil based products (Big Mood) the CBD milligram is measured per single drop.
Can I overdose on CBD?
No. You cannot overdose on CBD. Taking a very high dose might make you sleepy though!
Can I mix it with alcohol?
Yes! You can mix our products with cocktails, beer or wine. This can make some people feel drowsy so please use your best judgement when it comes to dosage.
Can I take these while pregnant or nursing?
You would need to talk to your doctor about this! Some of the adaptogens in our herbs may not be safe for pregnant or breastfeeding mothers.
Are they allergy friendly?
The Big Mood is made with oil derived from coconuts and should not be used by those with nut allergies.
The glycerin based blends (Sweetgrass, Lemongrass) are manufactured on machinery that also manufactures soy products and thus should not be used by those at risk of soy induced anaphylactic shock.
Will CBD show up on a drug test?
Both CBD and THC are classified as “cannabinoids” and thus if you are taking a drug test which is searching for ALL cannabinoids, you should be careful with taking CBD… or any cannabinoid. If in doubt, call the testing facility to find out what kind of test you are being given.
Our hemp derived CBD products will be below .3% THC and many of them are even lower. If a person was taking an exceedingly large amount of a CBD product, like 1000mg per day… then they would be more likely to fail a drug test. We do not suggest that dose amount and its also not necessary.
How much CBD should I take?
We suggest that users new to CBD start out with 10-40mg. Wait about 20 minutes and see how you feel. Some people will feel an immediate difference, while for others it can take some time. It’s recommended to use adaptogens and CBD for 2-4 weeks to experience it’s full effect on stress reduction.
Can I give these to children?
You would need to speak with your child’s doctor before administering CBD. We cannot offer medical advice or otherwise in this regard.
Can I take CBD if I'm on medication?
You should always speak with your doctor before using any kind of herbal medicine while taking pharmaceutical drugs.
When should I take CBD drops?
Our products can be used day and night. If you’re brand new to CBD we suggest trying it for the first time in the evening, as it can make some people sleepy.
